Airlines may request battery specifications, a safety data sheet, or proof of UN38.3 compliance. Keep these records accessible throughout your journey and confirm approval with every airline operating your flights.

Shows that the battery has documentation relating to the required UN transportation testing standard.

Match the document to your battery
Look for the watt-hour rating—shown as “Wh”—on the battery label. Use only the documents that match that number.

Use the two featured AirSafe documents above. The battery must still be approved by the operating airline and carried according to its instructions.
420 Wh extended-range battery
Not intended for passenger airline travel. A verification document does not make a 420 Wh removable battery acceptable for ordinary passenger air travel.
