5 Work Party Experience
Anna S. on 17th Apr 2025
Thanks to TravelScoot I was able to attend my company’s work party! It traversed gravel, inclines and grass (it was at a farm) and did awesomely. I feel like I’m getting my life back. I’m also a user that is around 440 lbs just in case some one is searching for heavier riders reviews in the future. It did great! The battery was fine. And I let my friends all ride it and they had fun too!!

5 Disney Cruise Experience
Tony P on 17th Apr 2025
Have to share how impressed I am with the Scoot. Went on a Disney cruise from NYC to San Juan PR. The Disney Magic has good accessible staterooms and maneuvering the Scoot was relatively easy. I was really impressed with the Scoot in San Juan. We spent two nights there after the cruise at the Sheraton Old San Juan - really nice roll in shower. I was able to ride the Scoot from the hotel to del Morro fort which meant going up steep hills and narrow sidewalks. Riding to and from only used one bar on the battery and the throttle showed fully green. To say that I am impressed is an understatement.

5 Love the New Escape
Patrick B on 2nd Feb 2025
I updated my model of the Travelscoot from Deluxe to an Escape in July 2024. I suffer from multiple sclerosis and I cannot walk or stand unaided so I have significant balance problems. Chronic foot drop and leg drop so I am unable to lift my left leg off the ground and my right leg is starting to go that way as well. It was becoming difficult to get on and off the Deluxe because the A-frame rises from the rear wheels to the front. The big advantage of the Escape is that the A-frame is level between the rear and front wheels. Folding up the Escape is much easier and simpler than the Deluxe. Just press a button and fold the steering column back until it is flat. It is easy to remove the seat and yoke from the frame and put it all into the boot of a car.

5 still getting used to it...
kitt on 9th Jan 2025
I've had an original for about 15 years and thought the escape might fit better in my car. It doesn't :-D But I'm keeping it anyway, because the new motor is SO NICE! The seating posture is more upright and the seat-pitch is shorter, so that's ... well, I'm gonna miss the more 'low-rider' vibes of my old one, but while I was trying to decide what to do, I ran into a guy on a store-scooter, who was struggling and we got to talking, and I promised him the old scooter before I knew what I was doing :-D He needs the larger frame more than I do, and I remember all too well what it was like to not be able to afford the mobility devices I needed. I kind of wish I could still lounge on the new one like I could on the old one, but overall, it seems like a rare and wondrous thing in this world - a product that's been IMPROVED in design and build quality and not cheapened. And there's more I love about the new one than I miss about the old one. (Now if I DO screw up my battery, my son can actually push me and not want to die! The old one was so hard to push! This one nearly free-wheels! It's fantastic!

My wife has used the scooter for a couple of shopping trips and loves it. I love it for the fact that it is truly portable and light weight. Looking forward to taking it with us on our cruises instead of having to rent one that barely fits in our cabin. Overall, the scooter is well designed and the workmanship is excellent.

5 Got stopped 3 times on first day
Nancy Faire on 16th Sep 2024
I was very hesitant to get a mobility device because of the stigma of it all. However, when I went to Home Depot when doing the 3-day trial, I got stopped three times by people wanting to know where I got the scooter from. This is going to save my life. It's so lightweight and strong. I can actually lift this into my vehicle and do whatever I want now. I asked Kevin for more cards because I know I'll need them.

5 A Godsend!
B. Dwarika on 4th Sep 2024
I cannot sufficiently thank your company for creating this scooter . It has been a daily companion in recent years . I live on an acre of space and a second acre with a community with training programs . This level of involvement with my community and the fulfillment of my goal at this stage of my life would not have been possible without this light weight scooter. It is next to my bed. I use it from the moment I wake up till I go to bed. It may be odd to say to you but I thank and bless you all at TravelScoot for the quality of life I can still maintain while I am so challenged with knee pains . Thank you for putting this product on the market and truly much appreciation for the support you have always offered when I have reached out to you .

5 The Escape
Marcia Hansen on 4th Sep 2024
Love the Escape! My daughter has an older model and we knew it would be lightweight, foldable, and go just about everywhere. The heartier front tire is great for off-roading onto nature trails and going on tours on vacations. I'm tall and Kevin helped customize for my long legs. Note, luggage and baskets aren't usable in front with my long legs, but can be used in back and below, no problem!

5 I can lift it out of my SUV
Heather Pinkerton on 20th Aug 2024
I am an 80-year-old female with arthritic hands and CHF but can still lift my scooter into the trunk of our SUV it has a flat deck so it’s easy to roll out as well. I just lower the handlebar and remove the backrest, nothing else. Wouldn’t be able to leave home without the Escape as my heart condition gets me extremely out of breath.

5 Nothing else compares
Richard W. on 20th Aug 2024
I love my TravelScoot. Bought it with $100 3-day trial. I rode it around the house for about a minute. The real test was lifting it into my station wagon. Removed the seat/harp, battery, and front wheel just to be on the safe side. No problem for this 79yo male with foot drop after 4 back surgeries. Last surgery was a 9-level fusion with a couple of rods holding me together. So when I tell you this is the only one to buy, it is. We’re not getting any younger or stronger.

5 Travelscoot Escape
Thom Hanson on 12th Aug 2024
To say I was impressed is no where near enough. This little critter took me thru the grocery store and check stand right on out across the parking lot. It will do it with plenty of speed and agility. I then went to the department store and able to do the same thing. The battery that comes with it still shows that it is full of power. After running around you just unplug the battery, remove the seat and fold down the handlebars to fit it back in the car. Because of the Texas heat, I bring the battery in the house, my scoot stays in the back of the car ready for the next run. Easy lite weight for lifting in and out. It is the real dream machine.

5 A hit on the cruise ships
KATHERINE KEISER on 31st Jul 2024
We just got back from Alaska on a cruise and this little scooter was so popular! It doesn't look like your average mobility scooter and is so compact and light. The crew told me that the I didn't get a room for a scooter and that I wasn't allowed to take the scooter inside my room. Then I folded it and lifted it myself (I'm 89 years old). They looked very surprised and had no issues with me taking the TravelScoot in my room. I had so many people asking me questions about the scooter and let people lift and try it out. I'm so happy with this purchase. It's the perfect scooter for me.

5 Lightweight and easy for air travel
Jamie on 25th Jul 2024
The Escape is a perfect experience for air travel. You ride it down the jetway and to the side of the plane, remove the battery, lower the handlebars, and walk on the plane. I no longer need to rely on wheel chair services at the airport and the luggage handlers appreciate how lightweight it is.

5 LONG LASTING
Sheila W. on 18th Jul 2024
I was one of the first people to purchase a TravelScoot back in 2004. That belt-drive scooter was absolutely amazing and it got me through 20 years of hard use. I've since "upgraded" to the new Escape model and love how I can go on any cruise ship now without worrying about the new door policies many of the cruise companies have implemented. The Escape is dimensionally smaller than the Deluxe but much easier to get on and off and is lighter than the previous model. I also like how my feet aren't so far up on the footrests as before. I didn't really fold it before but it's nice to know that if I need to, it folds much easier than any other scooter I've tried.

I've been looking for a scooter like this for about 3 years. I saw 2 Travel Scoots at a car show a few weeks ago . They were both ridden by Big guys and they were both excited to show them to me. I came home and ordered one the next day. I haven't taken it anywhere but will soon. My feet hurt sometimes so I'm looking forward to riding around on my Travel Scoot .

5 Best for Cruises
B.Z on 18th Jun 2024
We've just returned from a week-long cruise with our kids and grandkids for Thanksgiving. My husband used the scooter all day, every day. We were all over the ship and ports of call. We charged it every evening, but the meter never showed it down at all. This is our second cruise in less than 2 months, and the TravelScoot has been amazing. Love this TravelScoot! It is so maneuverable. He gets asked about it everywhere we go - especially on the ships.

5 Made my world bigger
Diane on 25th Mar 2024
I bought the TravelScoot because I could no longer lift my former "lightweight" scooter (75lbs) and my compact car won't accommodate a hitch mounted carrier. Even with 2 very arthritic knees, an arthritic shoulder, and mild heart failure I have no trouble getting this scooter in and out of the back of my car. I use it at work every day and since it's so easy to take along I get out more too. Thanks so much!

5 Awesome Design
Holly Carson on 21st Mar 2024
The TS Escape has been designed with careful planning to create the best, most lightweight scooter. It is is giving me freedom to keep up with my family on vacations and outings. Its compact design fits the narrow spaces that are often challenging for bulkier scooters. I love how I can break it down and set it up by myself with my one handed disability. It was so easy that I even assembled it out if the box one handed!

Bought this last year for my wife. She loves it. Went on a cruise last spring and it worked great and getting into the stateroom was a cinch because of its width. I also like that is so lightweight and compact, that we are able to get it in and out of our small SUV.

Jim Lashley on 23rd Sep 2023
Is it 100% PERFECT? No. But there are many accessories offered by TravelScoot and tons of good advice and ideas on Facebook sites to adapt and improvise whatever minor issue you may have. Is the seat too hard? I had some upholstery foam left over and attached it to the seat. Absolutely no problems with the motor, battery, brakes etc the important mechanisms. You should practice driving it in an empty parking lot, going up and down slopes or in and out narrow doorways.

This is one of the best mobility scooters, ever! This is my second one. Extremely light weight and portable. I have 2 others from another company and they are fine, but weigh 55 lbs. A little to heavy for airlines to handle. this one is only 35 lbs. Worth every penny. Love it.

4 Travelscoot Escape
Sonia Ashford on 19th Sep 2023
I am ambulatory handicapped so I can only walk short distances. The Escape has allowed me independence to go places I couldn’t go before. It’s zippy! It can get up and go when I need to go. It handles very well. The Escape can get in tight spots and maneuver in smaller areas. Only criticism I can offer is the seat is not soft. I had to modify the seat with cushion for my sore tushy. I do Love my Travelscoot Escape!

5 Everything but the seat.
Robert on 18th Sep 2023
I own both the escape and deluxe both are unbelievably good. The only complaint I've ever had is the seat on both, they just aren't super comfortable for all day, but that can be rectified with any number of after market options that make the scooter a bit more bulky but still fine to lift and transport. I prefer the escapes narrower frame to the deluxe but I liked the deluxe's fold-up for storage. That being said it was hard to unfold without pinching one's self. Being that these are for people with some mobility issues I'd say the escape is an overall improvement and by far the best in the market scooter you can get. Travelscoot USA is as good a company as you'll ever deal with too. Very responsive, always answers questions, and interacts with the community of users. My deluxe broke do a person trying it out they shipped me the parts and I was able to refurbish the scooter for like 200 bucks. Now I leave one at home and one at our vacation home. Really a great product.

5 Great Little Scooter
T. Whittaker on 14th Sep 2023
Love this scooter. We did a lot of research before we pulled the trigger on this one but I have to say, we are so thankful we did. The Escape seat is okay but we recommend the Deluxe seat. It is very comfortable. The customer service is second to none. You actually get someone that answers the phone and takes care of you. They even offered to do a Facetime or Zoom call if we needed to. I don't know of any other company that does this. This purchase has changed our lives.

5 My mobility issues aren't holding me back anymore
Jen on 14th Sep 2023
I'd rented mobility scooters twice when traveling, and finally realized that at home I was doing nothing but going to work and straight home because walking (even with a cane) put me in so much pain. I wanted my life back. I researched EXTENSIVELY. The travelscoot enables me to travel independently. I've flown within the US and internationally multiple times. I've used my travelscoot at conventions, Disneyworld, and at LARP (live action roleplaying) events held at summer camp sites. It handles uneven summer camp trails incredibly well! It even managed the hills of Atlanta at DragonCon! It folds down small enough that I never worry about being able to find a Lyft, Uber, Grab, or Taxi. It fits easily in my Prius prime. At the Singapore Zoo, I was able to fold it down enough for it to go with the strollers on the back of the tram. More than once, when elevators were broken, my husband has carried it for me up or down stairs or escalators.

5 Travelscoot Escape
Joy Riley on 13th Sep 2023
I have had MS for many years (1995) and it took me a while to accept that I needed some help to enhance the mobility in my life, I can walk short distances but it's very restricting when you want to do all the things you used to do, like shopping centres, parks, holidays without having to worry about if you would be able to manage even the walk accross the car park. Once I accepted a scooter was the answer, I did a lot of research and shopping around, I tested a number of scooters but all were too cumbersome and more importantly too heavy for me to be able to manage by myself when I need to. Then I found Travelscoot and was totally amazed at how light and how agile it was, of course I purchased it. What a game changed it has been for me totally transforming my (and my partners) life. I'm no longer restricted by distances, I can park where I like, not having to worry about getting close to the stores. I've taken it on buses, ferries, planes, trains, overnight trains, cruise ships and it folds and fits nicely into the back of my car. I cannot fully explain how this small machine has totally transformed my life for the better. Thank you Travelscoot. Joy

4 Escape
TN on 13th Sep 2023
It's lightweight and easy to get in and out of our compact hatchback. We've never run out of battery yet. Easy to fold down and unfold. I absolutely LOVE all the YouTube videos on how to maintain and repair it. Those and the fact that they keep parts in stock for all models and their customer service were large factors in deciding to buy a TravelScoot. It increased my wife's ability to go places and has been a GODSEND after her stroke. And it holds me, too, when she doesn't need it. Note that the seat is a bit uncomfortable for long term sitting. Also be careful going around corners (slow down!) and down curb cuts. Go down curb cuts head on, not at an angle. I'd buy another one for me if we could afford two!

5 I've gained my independence
Suzanne Stone on 13th Sep 2023
I love this scooter! It's so lightweight, it allows me to do the things I never could before. I haven't felt this good in a long time. It's a little faster than I thought, but I'm getting used to it. The videos that TravelScoot puts out are so great too. I'm so glad that I made this investment and got a scooter that will last longer than I will. I've had a number of TravelScoots dating back to 2004 and the changes they made to the Escape are amazing. It folds easier and is even lighter than before.
-
5 Absolutely amazing scooter
Craig L. on 13th Sep 2023
We've tried the Atto (cool looking but heavy and uncomfortable seat), the SmartScoot (clunky and has front-wheel drive). and a slew of others (all way too heavy). The Escape just looks awesome and doesn't look like your grandpa's mobility scooter. We get so many compliments and people stopping us to ask about it. Use the cards for the referral rewards. The TravelScoots are so easy to fold and breakdown because the lever clamp system is very simple. I should not have waited so long to buy one. Worth every penny!

This is my second TravelScoot - did an upgrade from the belt drive to this Escape - the folding and the bakes are much better - the red bag is smaller - the seat is better will last longer - the wires to plug in the battery are a little shorter so it is harder to plug in and out, wish the connector would angle up.

James Hennessey on 27th Aug 2023

5 So convenient and portable
V. Wright on 17th Aug 2023
After reading the reviews and watching all the videos about the little escape, I decided to purchase one. The weight was really the deciding factor for me as all the other scooters were so much heavier. After receiving it, I was even more pleasantly surprised at the construction and the workmanship. The customer service is excellent, friendly and accommodating. The packaging for shipment was done so well, upon opening I found nothing was damaged or even moved during the shipping. I highly recommend this scooter especially for its convenience and durability. Rock On Travelscoot!

4 Travel Scoot I love it but…
Chris on 15th Aug 2023
I’m not a very heavy or tall person. I’m only 5’4” and I have bad knees. I find it a bit difficult to swivel the seat to the front after I’ve sat on it (turned sideways) without hitting my knees on the steering column. Wish there was a way to extend the base from front to back a bit or an upgrade to get a model with more clearance. I also found initially, a very light touch on the accelerator needs to be practiced as it has a lot of speed from stand-still. This scooter is new to me and I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I am practicing with it in my driveway a lot so to adjust my touch. I am used to the rentable mobility scooters that have a dial to set the acceleration from “turtle” to “rabbit”. ?. I love that I can lift it into the back of my CRV by myself. This will be a life changer for me!
-
5 Couldn't be Happier!
Terrie Gaughan on 19th Jul 2023
I hesitated to pay the price for this scooter because I own a scooter rental company and have a garage with, well, many scooters of every size. From the small travel 3-wheel to the heavy duty 4 wheel. I have a variety to choose from. Unfortunately, I cannot pick any of them up by myself. This one arrived and I had to wait for a replacement seat. During those couple of days I used one of my other scooters. Although I had only used it one day, I really missed this scooter. I ended up putting a temporary seat on the scooter so I could still use it. I still think it is expensive, but I see the value. Being able to lift it by myself, fit it into the back of any car I'm riding in, park it in small spaces, and carry myself, my service dog, and a bunch of groceries has a great deal of value. I don't think it is the right scooter for everyone, but for me it is perfect. I like the power going up hills and even the hand brakes are growing on me. I would definitely recommend this scooter.

5 TravelScoot Escape

I have two scooters, this is the only one I use… Extremely lightweight… made of titanium… I bring everywhere. They’re my new legs… I was hit by a drunk driver head on, and I was on a motorcycle. I broke both leg’s, a pelvis, and both hands. So when I say I use it a lot, I mean it. I throw it in the trunk of my car go go. I took it to Cancun, took it to Cabo, very airport friendly. When you have a problem with it, call their repair department. WONDERFUL, TOP NOTCH!!! Very easy to work with and shotgunned me a bunch of parts to fix it, just returned the one I didn’t use… No need to send them your whole scoot… I’m not changing brands, they have me for as long as I’m around for. I’ll give them my business again when I buy another… FB blog - Give Me Back My Life

3 Seat Poorly Constructed
Sam Vagle on 8th May 2023
The seat is poorly constructed, and is extremely uncomfortable. They do sell an upgraded seat, however it is extremely hard to purchase, always Out of Stock. The battery connection is also of poor quality. It is difficult to connect or disconnect the wires of the battery,

4 Escape
Don Slaymaker on 5th May 2023
In general, I am satisfied with the scooter. I would like more stability but the unstability is due to the nature of all three wheeled scooter. I think having some sort of ‘trainer wheels’ on the front might fix this problem. Other than that, a 4 wheeled scooter would be more stable.

5 Great product
Cathy Phelan on 2nd Feb 2023
I've had my scooter for 5 years. I weigh over 300 and it does me good. I can lift it in and out of my SUV and it gives me complete mobility. Love it.

Excellent design. I figured out a way to make it more compact when transporting and not removing any parts.

4 Escape

The Escape is an elegant engineering solution to portable mobility. Much easier to negotiate challenging terrain as you can simply pick up the scoot to circumvent barriers like stairs. At slow speeds it can fit into incredibly small spaces and make very tight turns. Easy to slide into trunk or even the back seat of my small car. The brake locks do need some improvement to get s 5 star. My wife has a hard time setting them which makes starting on inclines difficult. Going to experiment with thick rubber bands at the end of the brake levers
