Absolutely! Since its inception in 2004, the TravelScoot was designed specifically for airline travel. The TravelScoot mobility scooter is airline-compliant and can be checked as mobility equipment at no extra charge. Its lightweight lithium-ion battery (AirSafe) meets TSA and FAA requirements for air travel. Many customers successfully bring their scooters on domestic and international flights. The TravelScoot Escape weighs 30 lbs fully-assembled; making it the lightest travel mobility scooter in the world. It’s easy to lift, transport, and store, even without assistance. The heaviest component of the scooter is the frame at a mere 22 lbs!
The TravelScoot Escape supports riders up to 500 lbs. For warranty purposes, the official limit is 350 lbs, but the scooter has been engineered to handle greater loads with exceptional stability and strength. With its patented "yoke," the TravelScoot features a three-point strength system that outperforms virtually every other three-wheeled scooter in its class.
The TravelScoot Escape has a 90-degree turning radius in both directions, allowing you to make tight turns easily in narrow hallways, elevators, cruise ship corridors, and other confined spaces.
You sure can! The TravelScoot Escape was specifically designed for cruise ships and is ideal for navigating ship decks, ramps, and shore excursions. The Escape is guaranteed to fit any cruise ship door. It folds compactly to fit in any stateroom and is frequently used on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Princess, and other major cruise lines. The AirSafe lithium-ion battery provides up to 12–15 miles per charge. Add a second battery (see our H-brackets) or use our Long-Ranger (not airline-approved) to double your range to 24 miles. We offer a 14-day return policy from the date of delivery for standard purchases. If you decide to return your TravelScoot, it must be in new, unused condition and returned in the original box with all original packaging and materials. There is a $100 shipping charge and a 10% restocking fee.
